An Update From ChikaLicious
The new cafe opens on Friday with brunch
On Sunday, I told you of my sadness at hearing of the end of ChikaLicious, the unique dessert cafe in New York City.
I heard back from them with exciting news.
Pomme de Terre by ChikaLicious is opening on Friday, in the same location on 10th Street.
“Make room, breakfast bagel-NYC's fave breakfast nom has a new little friend! Introducing Pomme de Terre by ChikaLicious, a 90 percent lighter twist on the traditional bagel with lox. This delicious alternative will transform vour mornings and your waistline.”
Here are some of the dishes they plan to serve.
Acme Lox (where Russ & Daughters sources from) with whipped scallion cream cheese and red onio
Black Edamame-Foie Gras
Japanese Soft Boiled Egg topped with Don's Mom's Fried Chicken
Brunch is served from 8 am to 11 am. Champagne, Mimosas and Bellinis are available as is coffee and tea.
Then, later in the month, from 5 pm to 7 pm, comes Otsumami, a tapas & cocktail lounge.
