I launched CulinaryWoman this summer with a couple of goals in mind. First, I wanted to focus on women in the culinary world. There are so many successful women in our field, and yet they don’t always get the attention they deserve.
I wanted to celebrate business owners, chefs, writers and others in interesting jobs. Every week, my goal is to introduce you to someone you might not know, someone you want to know more about, and cookbooks you may have missed.
I also wanted to tell these stories directly to readers, rather than through a media platform. Newsletters provide a wonderful opportunity for writers on all topics. We get to focus on subjects we are passionate about, while you get to hear from writers you enjoy.
Now, I’d like to invite you to join the CulinaryWoman community and become a paid subscriber.
I’m offering three membership levels: $5 a month, $50 a year and $250 if you’d like to become a founding member.
Monthly and annual members will get the weekly newsletter, a heads up when a new podcast is coming, and material just for you.
Every so often, I’ll have a Q&A when you can ask questions about the food world. I’ll invite special guests to answer them. I hope I can spend time on culinary history. And, there may be recipes, too.
Founding members cover the cost of producing the newsletter for one month. I’m happy to thank you publicly, unless you prefer to remain anonymous. Founders also get the opportunity for some special CW swag.
We’re talking bistro aprons, toques and notebooks, plus a chance to own some of the cookbooks featured in the newsletter. I’ll get in touch once you contribute to let you know what I have in stock.
I know that not everyone can afford an additional bill right now. So, here’s my own special offer.
If you’re in culinary and you’re not working, or you’re a student, or you would like a full subscription for another reason, email me at CulinaryWoman@gmail.com. I’ll send you a gift subscription.
Rest assured you can cancel paying at any point, and I won’t be offended. The free subscription will still get you the weekly newsletter, but a paid subscription makes you a member of a very special group.
Thanks for listening to my pitch and for helping to make CulinaryWoman a success. I appreciate you all!
Best,
Micki
