Happy 2024 From CulinaryWoman! Thanks For Being A Valued Reader
New Year's wishes from Micki for a wonderful year ahead
Sending you new year’s wishes from Ann Arbor! Just a reminder that CulinaryWoman returns next Sunday, with a full slate of features for our paid and free subscribers.
Please stay healthy. Just before the holidays, I came down with Influenza A, which I learned I had when I went in for a Covid test. Flu A, as it’s called, is a strain that is not covered by the current flu shot, which I got back in October.
The worst part of it was over in a few days, but I had to cancel nearly all the get togethers I was planning to have with friends. And many of those lovely goodies that flowed into the house are still waiting to be eaten. (Luckily, I followed my own advice on how to store them.)
If you do get sick, my advice is to stay hydrated with water and juice, get plenty of rest, and pace yourself. Delegate tasks like putting away lights and ornaments and decor, and allow yourself some recovery time. Try to stay away from crowded situations, and avoid spreading germs to vulnerable people.
So, I won’t be joining the patrons at the Michigan Theater later today to watch Michigan play Alabama in the Rose Bowl. I’ll be cheering on the Wolverines from home. Go Blue!
I’ll see everybody next Sunday, when I should be back to 100%. Happy 2024!
Happy New Year, Micki. I hope you’re fully well again soon.
