Multiply that by millions of products in every part of the country, and you had the great pandemic supply chain crisis. Over and over, people asked, “How could this happen?”

In his upcoming book, How The World Ran Out of Everything, journalist Peter S. Goodman attempts to explain the simultaneous shortages that rippled through the global economy. His book will be published on June 11 by Mariner, which is part of Harper Collins.
