When I sent out a call this week for favorite comprehensive cookbooks, I had a list in mind of the responses I’d receive.
A few of those books received votes, but there also were some surprises. Who knew Mark Bittman was so popular? And who knew a cookbook that was all the rage in the 1980s would still be relevant?
