In the before times, in every part of the country, food events were on the calendar many nights of the week.

Authors used them to promote cookbooks. Visiting chefs gained new audiences for their food. Restaurants hosted theme dinners and special celebrations, like the 300th birthday dinner for New Orleans that took place at Antoine’s in 2018.
