Photo opp farms are popping up all across the country

Through the generations, there have been two popular choices for children’s holiday photos: Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny,

But they now have plenty of company, and not at brunch or in a department store. Across the country, farmers are turning their fields over to visitors. They don’t come only to admire what’s being grown. They are there to strike a pose, amid flowers, fruits and vegetables.

I call these Photo Opp Farms and they have become a lucrative gig for their owners. Some farms grow a single crop, such as apples, cherries or pumpkins. Others are switching up their fields several times during the season.
