Instant ramen shops, already a thing in Asia, are moving into America
On my very first visit to Japan, I was lured out one evening to go eat ramen. There was an outdoor stand near our hotel, and even though we’d already had dinner, my friends were eager for a bowl of broth and noodles. I ordered as basic as you can get: tempura ramen, which includes fried shrimp and vegetables atop steaming soup.
