I’ve enjoyed following
tales on his Substack of setting up his latest Paris apartment. One of the features he wanted was outdoor space, for dining and relaxing, and also to grow things. He posted a photo recently of a selection of herbs he had snipped from his garden.When I moved back to Ann Arbor, I also wanted to garden again. Although I had a balcony in New Orleans, it was more appropriate for pots of flowers and some rosemary rather than a variety of plants.
Here at home, I have much more space and my herbs are starting to take off. Very soon, I’ll begin pruning and deploying them in my cooking. I’ve already made a noodle bowl topped with Thai basil and mint.
