The Air Is Full Of Spices
One cooking show episode was memorable. The other was a missed opportunity
I love the scene in Sense and Sensibility where Colonel Brandon chats with the Dashwoods about his travels. “Have you really been to the East Indies, Colonel?” little Margaret asks. “What’s it like?” He smiles mysteriously. “The air is full of spices.”
The air was full of spices or at least scents on the two cooking shows this weekend. The Great British Bake Off featured Botanicals Week, while The Great Canadian Baking Show held its first-ever Spice Week.
