I opened Instagram earlier this week and got yet another unpleasant restaurant surprise: Pearl Oyster Bar is closing.
Owner Rebecca Charles shared the news in a sad-faced post. She founded the downtown New York City restaurant in 1997 and modernized the way we think of seafood restaurants.
