Farm stands are in full swing here in Michigan. I’m constantly on the look out on country roads for little shelters and structures offering fresh produce.
In the past, farm stands often had someone stationed nearby by to take your money. Or, some put products out in coolers and used a honor system. You paid in cash or wrote a check if your purchase was big enough.
But modern times mean new methods of farm stand shopping. Although there is sometimes a way to use currency, many stands have gone cashless. And some aren’t even at farms.
